About Me

hi! Im jenna; the owner of mint skin, the sole employee, and a NYS licensed esthetician for over 12 years now. I love waxing and i absolutely love working with problematic skin. Horomonal Acne is something I always struggled with personally. I have done extensive skin training outside of the basic requirements for esthetics, in order to provide the best experience that i can. i belive in correcting problematic skin from the root cause; healing from the inside out. i like to provide as much knowledge as i can about skin care, not just product knowledge. Making someone feel comfortable and confident in their own skin is the best feeling in the entire world. I am also an educator for a skin care line as well as an italian wax/hair removal line. This allows me to broaden my horizons and expertise outside of being in the treatment room. I get to travel around new york and educate other estheticians on new techniques and product knowledge. while i am an esthetician, an educator, i like to keep up on this forever changing industry; taking advanced courses, putting in more hours perfecting the services i offer, & learning new trends. I would rather offer a few services and be amazing at them rather than offer every service possible and just be okay at it. hence why i no longer have makeup as one of my services and why i never wanted to get certified in microblading (i know some very amazing Makeup artists though as well as some amazing microbladers if you need recommendations).

Some useless things you might not know about me AND PROBABLY DONT CARE BUT IM GOING TO TELL YOU ANYWAYS,: i left college with 12 credits left to graduate to pursue school for esthetics because that is what i always really wanted to do. i love reading in my down time. I also love the cringiest reality tv, documentaries, true crime docs and podcasts - if you ever need some recommendations, i am your girl. I love football…alot. I am a die hard buffalo bills fan #gobills (sorry not sorry). I played soccer for most of my life up until my early 20’s..miss it every day. music puts me in the best mood..country, rap, 2000 pop hits/any throwback i can get down to..backstreet boys will always be my first love. I love to cook but i cannot bake for the life of me. I have a barkless dog, her name is tessa (i call her sissy) and shes an african basenji. I am actually more shy than outgoing - which is i know is weird considering my profession., i can be the most awkward person. I am clumsy by nature; gravity is constantly working against me and i will always have a bruise somewhere on me. I know the most useless facts about nothing and I will always tell you random facts just because. I CHOSE THE NAME MINT SKIN FOR MY BUSINESS BECAUSE MY PAPA ALWAYS WOULD SAY THINGS LIKE “MINT” AND OTHER WEIRD THINGS LIKE “THATS SHARP” OR “THATS NEAT.” I ALSO AM HORRIBLE AT MATH, CATCH ME DOING SIMPLE MATH COUNTING ON MY FINGERS…NO SHAME. AND THATS ENOUGH RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME FOR NOW.
